Spend more time on the questions you find difficult
Practice now uses your saved answers to give difficult questions more attention, while keeping room for new questions and wider review.
Some questions feel familiar after a few tries. Others take more work. I’ve updated practice in SwissFlashcards so your saved answers help decide which questions you see next.
The aim is simple: give you more chances to work on the things you find difficult, while continuing to cover the question bank.
Your answers help shape the next session
When you start a practice session, the app looks at your saved results. Questions you’ve answered incorrectly or less consistently have a higher chance of appearing in review.
As you answer a question correctly more often, it gets less priority. A mistake gives it more attention again. You still get feedback straight after choosing an answer, so you can stop and read the correct choice before moving on.
The next set is chosen when you start a new session. You won’t see the questions change halfway through the one you’re doing.
Keep making room for new questions
A normal session has 10 questions. The default is five new questions and five reviews, once you have enough saved history for both.
You can change that balance in Settings, under Practice Card Balance. Choose more new questions when you want to cover unfamiliar material, or more review when you want to return to things you’ve already tried.
If you’ve answered every question, practice keeps going with review. There’s still something useful to do after you’ve worked through the bank once.
Review stays varied
The app mixes older questions into review and includes some variety in its choices. A difficult question has a better chance of coming back, but you can also revisit material you’ve answered well before.
You’ll see a short note above each practice question explaining why it’s there. For example, it might be a new question, something you got wrong last time, or a question you’ve seen before.
Check that your answers were saved
Practice shows whether an answer has been saved. If it couldn’t confirm a save, it tells you. That answer may not shape future sessions yet, even though you can still see whether your choice was correct.
Look at the save messages before you leave, especially if your connection was interrupted.
I hope this helps you make progress on the questions that still trip you up. Try your next 10 questions and take a moment to read the feedback.
